The story of this intriguing place began in 1999, when Maria Elena and Goran Stanic
bought a house on the town square of Krk,
a little town on an island in the northern Adriatic.
Excavating Volsonis...
They didn't know anything about any ancient ruins under the house, they knew just about this small cellar in the background...
Then, while cleaning it, some archaeologists
noticed they were doing something down there...
The archaeologists told them to make 7 holes in the ground (4 m deep, 2 m wide), to see if they can find something.
But the holes were in the wrong places so they didn't find anything...
